One Brand "No Makeup" Makeup Look

In the past year I've grown older, wiser, and more tired because I became a mother. There are some days when I just look wiped, but my darling daughter won't give me more than a few minutes to perk myself up. This has become my inexpensive "no makeup" look as a new mom with dry skin.

The Products

Besides my moisturizer (which, by the way, doubles as an amazing makeup remover), all of these products are under $5 CAD and from one brand! I like essence cosmetics and I find their products are a nice way to treat yourself without risking the diaper budget. The only reason why I opt for a more expensive moisturizer is my dry skin. It needs care without funny smells or harsh chemicals, and I am willing to pay for a product that works for me. So without any further delay, here are the details:

The Moisturizer

This is Parkdale Butter Co.'s Espresso Firming Face Balm. Made with non-GMO soy butter and green coffee seed extract, this moisturizer not only helps refresh my skin it also perks me up its amazing coffee smell!

The Concealer

Most new moms have dark circles, and sadly, I am not exempt. I tried this out the other day and I love it! It's the pure NUDE concealer by essence cosmetics in the shade 20 Pure Sand. It's a stick concealer that doesn't pull and provides nice medium coverage. It also doesn't dry out my skin. I apply this on dark circles, acne spots, or slighter redder areas like my chin and around my nose.

The Brows

I hadn't realized until recently that there are products for keeping your brows in place! Mine love to go in funny directions so I bought this. It's essence's make me brow tinted eyebrow gel. Mine is in the shade 01 Blondy Brows. I like it because it's easy to use and tinted. It fills in gaps only a little bit, so if you're looking for more coverage I would use an eyebrow pencil. It does keep my brows in place. Maybe not all day, but enough for me to run errands and head home for nap time.

Eyelashes

I like big, but not unnaturally big, eyelashes. If I don't know what the weather's going to be like, or if my daughter is extra drooly I definitely want a waterproof mascara. Essence's get Big! Lashes waterproof mascara does the trick for me. I've even pool tested it and it stays put! My droopy eyelashes also tend to stay up if I've used this and an eyelash curler.

The Lips

I love a good natural shade and some moisture (obviously) so I went for essence's Sheer & Shine Lipstick in 02 Cute Nude. I found out about it from Sarah Therese's YouTube channel and it's a lovely shade for pale girls! It's not long wearing, but it applies easily and provides beautiful, natural lip colour.

In Conclusion...

Applying each of these should take no longer than a minute. So this look is easily a 5 minute "no makeup" look. It's becoming one of my go-tos and it did not hurt my wallet. What are your go-tos? Do you have a go-to brand? I would love to hear from you!

Cheers!
